Before starting a website design, it is vital to understand the purpose of the website. What is the purpose of the website? There are many different styles of websites available to use, but the function of the site is the foundation of the design.
Questions to Answer - This is Where it Begins
Is the website informational in its intent? Is the website going to be a blog, where different thoughts and opinions are expressed? Is the website going to be an e-commerce website where products are bought by the general public?
Once the intent is known we can move onto the next question: Is the website intended for a specific audience or is it open to everyone? Is the website meant for only a specific geographic region or a specific demographic? These questions will also help with understanding how the site should be designed.
